太平洋左岸花園⸺臺灣，⼩⼩島嶼四⾯環海，陸地⾯積只佔地球0.03%，物種數量佔了4%，是全球平均值的150倍；海洋⽣物種類佔了全球10%，更是平均值的360倍。豐富多樣且珍貴的物種，當中，更有上千種屬「臺灣特有種」。

光是⼀條河川溪流，便能窺⾒⽣命精密的繁衍；其中，⽔⽣植物不只是淨化⽔源、調節氣溫外，也是河川⽣命的驅動者，啟動了⽣態完整的⾷物鏈。

得天獨厚的⽣態環境、豐厚的物種資源，形塑出獨特的臺灣⾊彩。「遊藝花源」提供⼤眾另⼀種觀看的視⾓，從⽔⽣、島嶼、蛻變、共棲、節氣不同⽣態描繪，請帶上好奇⼼出發，⼀起漫步探索，再以⽤同理⼼灌溉地球花園。

The garden on the left bank of the Pacific Ocean – Taiwan, a small island surrounded by seas and has abundant, diversified and valuable species. Even in a river or stream, one can see the precise reproduction of life. Aquatic plants not only cleanse water sources and modulate temperature, but also drive the life in rivers, activating the complete food chain of ecology.

“Art Playground Flowers Cradle” provides people with an alternative angle of view from different ecological depictions, such as aquatic, island, transformation, commensalism and solar terms. Please set out with curiosity, stroll and explore together, and irrigate the garden of Earth with empathy.

軟埤仔溪流域長度1.8公里，貫穿豐原葫蘆墩園區，為2018世界花博中唯一有河川的第五展區，並由臺中市政府水利局主導。順應水岸最大特色，透過河道修繕、透水鋪面、污水處理及花卉種植等整治工程，營造水岸花都印象。

展區整體以「遊藝花源」水岸生態為主軸，探討水源對生命的蘊養、大地對萬物的包容，反思經濟發展與生態平衡間關係。透過地景藝術創作探討，期望觀者透過大自然形形色色的生命脈動，體悟萬物共生共成與循環生命之間的智慧。

The 1.8 kilometers longs Ruanpizai Creek runs across Huludun Park. It is the fifth expo site, the only one with a river, of 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition, and is managed by Taichung City Government Water Resources Bureau. Accommodating to the greatest feature of the riverbank, an impression of a floral metropolis by the water is created through regulation works, such as river channel repairmen and maintenance, water pavement, sewage treatment and flower planting.

The central theme of the overall expo site is the river bank ecology of “Art Playground Flowers Cradle”. It explores the nurture of water source for life and the tolerance of Earth for all things, and introspects the relation between economic development and ecological balance. By discussing art creations of landscape, we hope that, through the various lives in nature, viewers can experience and understand the wisdom between the co-existence of all things and the cycle of life.
